Produce a Motion Graphics Video with Creativity

As the Creative Director of FlimpAgency, I help clients produce video content that exceeds expectations, generates results and doesn’t break the budget.

Often, when clients begin to conceptualize what type of video content they want FlimpAgency to produce, traditional business or corporate videos rank as top requests.  Both are good formats, especially for business communications.

However, a motion graphics (or explainer) video can be a creative approach to traditional video content.  As a business video production, motion graphics videos afford an opportunity to really utilize the audiovisual format to tell a story.

Instead of a rote corporate video featuring an on-camera personality disseminating information, explainer videos use moving images, motion graphics, animated text, music, and voice-over narration in a creative production that concisely describes products, services or concepts.  This engaging and informative video communications format captures audience attention and is ideal for marketing with video.

Explainer videos are an excellent way to communicate typically staid topics.  Emotion is the key to successful marketing videos.  Motion graphics make it easier to create lively productions.  Using General Electric as an example, corporate or B2B videos need not be “boring”.  In fact, viewers will not watch boring or “cut and dry” video content.

Recently, FlimpAgency produced an explainer video for Leap Wealth Management, a Dallas, TX-based Registered Investment Advisor.  Leap Wealth Management wanted to create a video that could be used for new client acquisition. FlimpAgency suggested a motion graphics video to help Leap Wealth Management stand apart from other financial advisors.  This is what we produced:

The use of motion graphics enabled FlimpAgency producers to take a whimsical approach compared to traditional financial services messaging.  We were able to convey Leap Wealth Management’s expertise throughout the explainer video. Since this video was created for video email and web video marketing, a clear call to action was incorporated.

Many FlimpAgency clients create motion graphics videos for internal communications, especially employee training and benefits open enrollment.  Images combined with an audio track help bring panache to otherwise traditional corporate messaging.

Brevity and directness are two key elements to producing memorable motion graphics videos.  Especially for digital communications, it is important to get to the point.  Try to focus on producing content that explains while demonstrating, helping to ultimately inspire viewers.
