Make Your Marketing Video Effective By Using Video Landing Pages

Do you know what marketing tactic generated the fastest conversion action for businesses in Q3 2009? Video.  As we head into 2010, web video marketing will continue to be evangelized by the Digerati, industry analysts and marketers who have seen proof through ROI.
Last week, SmallBizTechnology.com was kind enough to recommend Flimp as a powerful way for companies to leverage online video.  We couldn’t agree more.
Video on its own does not help to engage your audience. In order for your campaign to have the greatest impact, incorporate online video into a Video Landing Page (VLP).  Why? Because landing pages linked to other digital content improve audience lift.
Now, landing pages are not a new interactive marketing phenomena. They have been a best practice for over a decade.  According to MarketingVox,  most marketers miss this very basic step. They will develop compelling creative, but instead of linking to a contextually relevant landing page that can convert to a sale or lead, the link goes to a home page or something not related to the marketing message. In Web parlance, this is a big fat FAIL.
What is the point of taking the time to develop persuasive content that causes someone to click through and then lose them?
Maybe you’ve been doing the digital marketing thing for years and you think landing pages are too basic. If that is a case, consider the VLP. Audiovisual content is a proven way to engage your audience.  Integrating the video with direct calls to action enable you to not lose a conversion.
